Australian Bushfire Benefit London

  • Royal Academy of Music (map)

Lotte and violinist Bridget O’Donnell, alongside directors of the Tait Memorial Trust, Australian Music Foundation, Royal Flying Doctor Service and Voyage Control, produce the AUSTRALIAN BUSHFIRE BENEFIT LONDON, featuring Australia’s finest musicians with full orchestra and choir, to honour the brave men and women who are fighting the worst fires in Australia’s history. Our hearts are with the people of Australia and we hope that the money raised from this concert will make a tangible difference to the victims of this horrific tragedy.

The Australian-focused programme includes music by Peggy Glanville Hicks, Brett Dean, Peter Sculthorpe, Ross Edwards, Connor D’Netto, Stephen Leek, James Ledger, Ella Macens, Paul Stanhope, William Garnet James, Frederick Septimus Kelly and The Seekers, as well as works by Verdi and Korngold.

The star studded lineup includes conductors Simone Young, Jessica Cottis and Toby Thatcher, and soloists Stuart Skelton, Amy Dickson, Helena Dix, Sam Sakker, Miriam Allan, Helen Sherman, Catherine Carby, Simon Thorpe, Renee Kennedy, Joseph Havlat and Hill Quartet, as well as Music Theatre stars Paul Tabone, Una Reynolds, Corinne Cowling, Kurt Kansley, Embla Bishop, Alex Given and Phoebe Panaretos.

In the programme, Lotte performs Connor D’Netto’s Dawn Wail for the Dead alongside the Hill Quartet.

The concert will be followed by a reception.
